Description

This is a ribbon worn by an "Honorary Guest" on the day of the dedication to Soldiers' Monument on October 6, 1899. The original owner is owner is unknown, but could have belonged to anyone listed on the back of the program, their spouses, or members of the Ladies Memorial Day Association.

There is an ornate safety pin that was attaching the ribbon to the program. It is possible that this is the same safety pin used the day of the dedication to affix the ribbon to honorary guest.
