Some early railroad shipments on the Peoria and Bureau Valley Railroad are noted starting in this ledger starting in November of 1854.

This is a broadside advertisement for an Illinois river excursion that was to take place on Sunday, July 21, 1912. The Illinois Traction System- McKinley Lines were to stop at Peoria where people would board the steamer Percy Swain. Percy Swain was to leave Peoria at 10 a.m., arrive at Chillicothe at 12 noon, leave Chillicothe at 1 p.m., and arrive back in Peoria at 5:45 p.m. There was also to be a scheduled to stop at the Al Fresco Park on the return trip.
